Great list. I’m familiar with all the people on the list except Fadwa Tuqan, so thanks for the introduction. My awareness of the struggle for Palestinian rights began in 1979 when I picked up a copy of Said’s “The Question of Palestine”. Over my 72 years I have to say this is one of the three or four books which has had the greatest impact on me.
You’ve shown courage by writing about some of these famous Palestinians. I might question some of your choices but you’re pretty darned brave to feature them in your post. Best to you.
Absolutely love this 🫶🏼, but Yaser Arafat has no place here. He did nothing for the people of Palestine and made horrendous deals with Israel. There are so many people who deserve to be recognized for their efforts, but not him.
